2009/2010 Tryout Dates Announced.
Columbus Express Soccer Club tryouts for all teams (including High School) for fall 2009/spring 2010 season are planned to begin on Friday, June 26 in accordance with Indiana Youth Soccer Rules and Regulations. Specific dates and times of the try-outs for each age group are posted here. With the announcement by Indiana Youth Soccer of the new try-out period, it may cause some additional logistical problems for people wanting to try-out for our club. If you have vacations planned for that time period, please contact Kenrick Ramirez at director@columbusexpress.com for your individual situation.
Please be aware players may be contacted as early as Friday June 26th 2009 for spots on CESC teams for fall 2009 and spring 2010, but no later than Tuesday June 30th 2009!

New Irrigation being installed.
 You will notice new irrigation has been installed by the pump house. Our goal here is to add some additional space for more fields and allow flexibility on how fields are aligned. We have bolder plans as well, such as new restrooms, more irrigation and more quality facilities and fields. Alas all this takes capital investment, with only a small portion coming from fees, but most coming from fundraising either through concessions or tournaments. Thank you to the entire CESC family!

Fence Construction Complete.
 To help ensure a fun and safe environmet for all of our players, Columbus Express Soccer Club funded the construction of a new fence onlong the south end of the Richard Wigh parking lot. This will serve, as does the matching fence on the north end, to protect our players from chasing balls directly into the parking lot. Thanks also to the Columbus Parks & Rec Department for providing additional equipment and labor.

Club Announces Coaching Agreement.
 Columbus Express Soccer Club (CESC) announces a new agreement with with Shaun Mahoney, the current Men's Head Soccer coach at Franklin College. He and several of his staff will be coaching teams beginning with the Spring 2009 teams. Shaun grew up in the CESC program, and has a strong desire to give back to the program which provided him so many opportunities. CESC is pleased to have this relationship with Shaun and look forward to him involvement with CESC.

CESC chosen as Challenge Cup site.
Columbus Express Soccer Club has been chosen to host the preliminary rounds of the 2009 Challenge Cup at Richard Wigh Soccer Complex.
