Stephen Abedian
Coach Abedian grew up in the world of soccer. He started to play in his early years and continued through young adult years where he played in college and earned 1st team all Tennessee Intercollegiate Soccer Association honors as well as MVP of his team. He continued to play competitively in various adult leagues until recent years. All his play over the years allows him to show players many skills and techniques in an innovative way so players develop without even realizing they are being trained. His favorite coaching moments are when he is able to see a good strategy develop and be executed as planned. |

Brad Barber
Coach Barber has a wealth of soccer experience. As a player he obtained such honors as All District, All Conference, with his highest accomplishment in 1999 when he achieved Honorable Mention All-State honors. Since playing he has several years of coaching, including club experience in CESC and Jennings County, assisting at CNHS for the boys, and recently appointed the head coach at Columbus East High School. He has his NSCAA National License, IYSA E License, and continues to attend NSCAA National Coaching Conventions. |

Mark Bridgeman
Mark has experience both past and present that will be beneficial to all young soccer enthusiasts. He is presently an Indiana ODP District Coach as well as a youth coach within CESC. Prior to his 28 year coaching career, he played soccer in high school, college, and then played club soccer at a high level for a number of years. Mark’s knowledge as a player and coach will prove to be very beneficial for all children in the Academy. Mark also has his USSF National C License.

Gary Busse
Coach Busse is currently coaching a boy’s CESC U11 team. He has coached several youth teams in the Parks and Recreation program as well as assisting in the past with CESC. He enjoys attending clinics to further his knowledge of the game. His goal as a coach is to effectively motivate his players to do more than they thought they could in order to achieve their goals and beyond. |

Matt Dennis
Coach Dennis has coached teams over the past few years from ages U9 through High School. He spent four years as an assistant coach at Seymour High School, coached the U14 boys in Seymour for 5 seasons, coached in the Indiana ODP program, and currently coaches the U15 and U17 Girls at Columbus Express. He has experience as a player as well as his NSCAA High School Diploma, NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma, and NSCAA National Diploma. He expects a lot out of his players and wants them to realize that the end product of hard work on the practice field will bring both success and enjoyment on the playing field. |

Jessica Floyd
Coach Floyd brings enthusiasm, excitement, and knowledge as a player and coach to the CESC program. She has several years experience as a player starting as a youth and then playing varsity soccer for four year. She has coached various ages in the club program, is currently a U10 girls coach, and is the head women’s coach at Seymour High School. Coach Floyd has her USSF E Coaching License and has attended coaching clinics at IU. She takes great pride in watching her players grow and develop; especially in areas that they used to struggle. |

Carol Fogler
Coach Fogler grew up in the CESC family as a player and is now ready to take on a new role as a CESC coach. After several years in the CESC program she then found much success as a player for Columbus North Women’s Soccer. She graduated from North in 2006 and then went and played soccer for Asbury College until 2009. Along the way she has helped out various youth teams in Columbus and Kentucky when she was available. She is now eager to share her youthful energy and excitement with the young players in the CESC Academy. Coach Fogler is a great role model for today’s youth and will be able to instill many great qualities in the young players that will help them both on and off the field. |

Andy Glover
Coach Glover has vast knowledge of the game with many achievements, he is also currently the Men’s coach at Columbus North High School, and he holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and USSF D license. He played his college soccer at Franklin College and is a product of the CESC system. Coach Glover favorite part of coaching is the day to day interaction with kids, watching them grow with the game and supplying life challenging opportunities. |

Kate Gray
Coach Gray has a true passion and excitement for the game of soccer that she shares with all her players. She presently coaches a high school CESC team as well as being on the coaching staff at Jennings County High School. She enjoys gaining more knowledge of the game by attending coaching symposiums when possible. One of her favorite things about coaching is being able to watch young kids develop their skills and their love of the game. |

Matthew Greer
Coach Greer’s passion for soccer began at the age of 7. He started out as a youth player and played through high school, at the club level a Clemson University, and is still playing in adult leagues including the CIASA. He has his USSF E License and presently works with goalkeepers as well as being head coach of the CESC U14 Girls. One of the things that Matt likes most about coaching is giving back to the game that he still enjoys. |

Troy Hall
Coach Hall began his soccer career at CESC as a youth player and has been involved in soccer as a player or coach ever since. He played high school soccer at Columbus North High School and then continued on to play at Rose Hulman. He then spent four years playing for the Vandenberg Air Force Base team. He coached at CESC in the late 90’s prior to moving to California. When he came back and picked up where he left off by coaching in the CESC program once again. “Giving back” to the sport and club that gave him is start in soccer is very important to Coach Hall. He loves to see his young players learn a skill; work on applying it, and then seeing their faces after they accomplish the skill. |

Tony Harris
Coach Harris has a wide array of playing and coaching experience that is very beneficial to the players he coaches at CESC. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School where he played varsity soccer. He then played college soccer at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville for three years and finished up his college career at Anderson University. After playing college soccer he knew he had to share his skills and knowledge for the game so he obtained his E License and began his coaching career. His coaching experience includes being the Varsity girls coach at Decatur Central High School, Varsity High School coach at Franklin Community and also coached club soccer at Ben Davis Soccer Club as well as at St. Francis Soccer Club prior to joining the coaching staff at CESC. He has found his passion both as a player and coach and hopes he can instill it in the players he coaches. He enjoys developing lifelong relationships with the kids and being a part of the camaraderie of the team. |

Rob Heathcote
Coach Heathcote played soccer in high school and in recreational programs through college and beyond. His enjoyment of playing landed him in the coaching arena where has coached several teams over the past 9 years, both in the club and recreational programs. He recently received his USSF E License and enjoys learning new things that he can share with his young athletes. His part of coaching is seeing the kids get excited about soccer and seeing them improve. |

Gbenga Ide
Coach Ige has been playing soccer his entire life. He is very driven and his passion for the game is evident when he is on the field coaching. He enjoys sharing his skill and knowledge for the game with the young players at CESC. Coach Ige’s goal is to develop all players so that they can reach their personal goals on the field both in the present and distant future. He takes great pride and joy in watching his player’s progress both tactically and technically. |

Brian Lavelle
Coach LaVelle has been involved in coaching in both the parks and recreation and Columbus Express programs for the past few years. He is currently the head coach for the U11 Girls Blue team. He has attended various coaching seminars and has his USSF E License. He takes pride in watching his players improve on the field and gain self confidence. |

Rocky Legge
Coach Legge is new to coaching, but not new to soccer. He started playing as a youth and continued his career at South Dearborn High School. After high school he then went to Franklin College where he is currently still playing. He is currently coaching the CESC high school team. His favorite part of coaching is interacting with young athletes and teaching them the game of soccer. |

Rolf Loescher
Coach Loescher’s experience and E License makes him a huge asset in the CESC program for developing skills for our young players. He has been a head coach in the younger age levels since 2005. He enjoys helping the athletes learn new skills and gain confidence to use them in game situations. He takes great pride in his teams and shows them how to work as a unit and showing them that more can be accomplished together than alone. |

Shaun Mahoney
Coach Mahoney started his soccer career as a player in the CESC program, so we are fortunate to have him back in the program as a coach. Soccer has been in the forefront of his life both as a player and coach since he began. He played as a youth, through high school, and then at Franklin College. Shortly thereafter he entered the coaching arena where he has coached several club teams over the past 14 years. He was also the varsity soccer coach at Franklin Community High School, Seymour High School, and is currently the men’s head coach at Franklin College as well as presently serving on the Indiana State Pool Staff. Coach Mahoney has his NSCAA Goalkeeper Diploma, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and continues to attend coaching clinics held by university and professional teams. His favorite part of coaching is development and watching his players succeed in the world’s greatest game. |

Megan McCormick
Coach McCormick has an E coaching license, is a certified personal trainer, and has a wealth of experience working with soccer players of all ages. After a successful high school soccer career she then played for the club team at Ball State, and continues to play in several adult leagues. She was the assistant coach at Muncie Burris High School, she coached the Ball State club team for 4 years, and has helped with RAM for two years. She is currently coaching the CESC U9 Academy, a head coach for the U13 Girls Blue team, and assisting for the 15 Girls team. Her favorite part of coaching is figuring out what motivates her players so she can help them learn the game and develop a true passion for soccer. |

Scott Meier
Coach Meier is in his 10th year of coaching for CESC, in addition to being the current JV coach at Columbus East High School. He played soccer in high school, Trine University (Tri-State University), and continues to play in many adult leagues. Coach Meier has his USSF D License and continues to further himself as a coach by attending coaching symposiums. He has a true passion for the game of soccer and shares that passion with his athletes. |

Ryan O'Connor
Ryan is a current player and captain for the Franklin College Men's Soccer Team. He has also been a starter for St Joseph's College for 1 year and an All-District player for Jennings County High School in 2006. He began his coaching career at a local YMCA and now coaches one of the CESC high school teams. His favorite part of coaching is being able to critique and correct fundamentals of players to help them quicken their speed of play and further their knowledge of the game. |

Todd Schutte
Coach Schutte has a National D License and has been coaching in the Columbus area for many years. He has coached several years in the Columbus Express program as well as the Parks and Recreation program. He was also a High School Varsity coach for six years and is currently an assistant coach at Columbus North High School. He takes a lot of pride watching his athletes excel both on and off the field. His favorite part of coaching is helping players develop a love for the game of soccer and competition. |

Tyler Smith
Coach Smith recently finished his college soccer career at Hanover College. Prior to that he played at Thomas More College, and was a graduate of Jennings County High School. He has worked at several summer camps including IU and the University of Alabama, just to name a couple. He is currently assisting the Hanover College Men’s Soccer team and is ready to bring his vast playing and coaching experience to CESC. He has found his passion both as a player and coach and hopes he can instill it in the players he coaches. He takes great pride and joy in watching his player’s progress both tactically and technically. |

Derek Stewart
Coach Stewart’s playing and coaching experience is very vast. He played high school soccer where he also participated in the ODP program. He then trained in Scotland and England prior to starting his college soccer career at IU. Coach Stewart has his E-Certificate, has attended the National Coaches Convention, and is a member of the NSCAA. He currently coach with Columbus North Men’s soccer and also is currently working with the girls program in CESC as he has done over the past several years. He enjoys teaching the kids proper techniques and fundamental of soccer so they can develop and grow with the game. |

Mark Stewart
Coach Stewart has been involved with CESC since he was a player at U12 and continued through U19. He had a very successful high school career at Columbus North with his accomplishment of making the All State 1987 Team. Coach Stewart then played on the IU club soccer team, and is a current member of the Columbus Open Team. His skill and knowledge of the game is a great asset to the CESC program. |

Dane Whitley
Coach Whitley has a tremendous amount of playing and coaching experience. He is a product of Columbus North High School Men’s Soccer and from there went on the play for Notre Dame. Throughout his high school and collegiate experience he was involved in the ODP Program qualifying for the state and regional teams. He continues to play in upper level adult leagues. He has his G License and has a very impressive and vast coaching background. Coach Whitley was an ODP coach several years ago and is currently an assistant varsity coach at Columbus North and has been for the past 14 seasons. He has also been involved in coaching young players for the past 8 seasons in the Columbus Parks and Recreation soccer program and several seasons for CESC at the U13/U14 level. His knowledge, skill, and passion for the game are qualities that make Coach Whitley a true standout in our CESC program. He enjoys giving back and sharing his soccer knowledge with all his player and takes great pride in watching the things they work so hard on in practice transfer into skills performed in games. |

Roger Wicker
Coach Wicker has tremendous credentials both as a player and a coach. He played throughout high school, making the Indiana ODP State Team, as well as Regional Team. He then attended Indiana University where he was a 4 year letter winner as a goalkeeper. His knowledge and success as a player then took him into coaching where he then obtained his USSF D and E Licenses as well as his Grade 7 referee license. He then coached in club soccer settings, ODP, many summer camps, and was the coach at Columbus College, as well as an assistant at Indiana University. He wants all his athletes to develop a love of the game and enjoys seeing the excitement of those that want to learn. One of his goals as a coach is to have an impact on his player’s performance both on and off the field. |
