Overview
The Columbus Express Soccer Club offers a competitive soccer program for the more serious, skilled, and committed player (ages 8 and up) who would benefit from a higher level of instruction and competition than is offered by the recreational program.

Season Length
The Express season is comprised of both a fall and spring season. Twice a week practices for the fall start in early August, with games played late August through early November. Practices for the spring start in mid-March, with games played April through June. Most games are played on the weekends with ten league games (5 home, 5 away) plus one or two weekend tournaments.

Travel
Most away games are played in and around the Indianapolis area. Other away game locations may include Bloomington, West Lafayette, and Terre Haute. Tournament locations will be decided on by each individual team.

Tryouts
Tryouts are held in June for players in middle school and younger (U8 through U14). Tryouts are held in late October or November for players in high school (U15 through U19). All tryouts will be conducted at the Richard Wigh Soccer Complex, north of Parkside School.

Cost
The entire Club season (Fall and Spring) costs between $350 - $400, depending on the number of tournaments in which the team participates. The fee covers uniform, referee, league, club, tournament, and facility maintenance costs. Scholarships are available for selected players needing financial assistance.

Commitment
Participation in the Express Soccer Club is a significant financial and time commitment. Players selected to participate are expected to attend all games and practices for both the fall and spring seasons. Parental support is essential to the success of the program. Parents are expected to provide support as volunteer team managers as well as assisting in the planning and hosting of the Columbus Express Soccer Tournament held each spring.
